Not So Dreamgirl Material

Episode 7 is finally out. I am wondering though why episode 6 has only 3 parts. Weird.

The girls at the Nuffnang's Pajama Party and 1st birthday bash, before Alison and Natasha were eliminated.

Anyway in this episode, the girls went for a make-up demo class at the Bertha Gallery Make-Up Academy. Usual stuff, they were thought on how to apply make-up and and remove it, bla bla bla.

I think I should attend a class like that. It would definitely be interesting. =)

Hanis won the make-up challenge, she got herself a make-up kit and a dinner date with Elaine Daly. Knew that she was to pick Fiqa as she's like her bestie in the show. Very predictable.

The drama starts to unfold! Everyone in the 'Dreamgirl' house was unhappy with Ringo for the things that she had written in her blog. She wrote that some of the 12 finalist were not as deserving as other contestants who didn't make it through the closed audition. However, she talked to the girls, explained what she did and cleared things up so things between her and the girls are better.

This episode's pretty boring I would say because most of it is about who dislikes who in the house and why do they dislike that person. Won't really put it as them bitching about one another, but I can't seem to think of a nicer term. In short, this episode is all about Cindy. They should name this episode 'Why Everyone Dislikes Cindy'.

She's definitely not one of my favourites.

Like, COME ON. It is a reality show after all. There's bound to be stuff like that. What were you expecting when you join a reality show?? Haven't you watched shows like ANTM (for those of you who are a tad slower, ANTM = America's Next Top Model) or the Janice Dickinson Modelling Agency?

Yes I'm talking to you, Cindy.

Okay lah. Maybe you didn't expect the whole bunch of girls to dislike you and not talk to you.
But there must be a reason why, right?

Let's list down 10 reasons why the girls don't like you. Here we go:

  • You seem very fake on camera and off the camera. Two different person.
  • You try to talk with an accent that makes you look like you're trying a bit too hard. Like you wanna be some American born Chinese or something.
  • Overreacting. You cry too much. WAY too much.

Cindy says to her dad,"Not everyone there was crying because they were genuinely sad. Wouldn't it be weird if I just stood there expressionless?" Watch it here (episode 7 part 3).

My response after listening to that is O.o

  • Very 'siu jie'. Means very princessy (I think) in English.
  • Annoying.
  • You must get what you want.
  • Wasteful and not thrifty. How can you throw away food just because you don't like it?!

You can fill in the rest of the blanks. That's my opinion on why people in the house dislike her. Though I might never know the real reason why she annoys the hell out of them, especially Fiqa.

You should watch the part where Fiqa tries to imitate her. Yes she tried to. Damn funny can! (episode 7 part 4 ) There's this part she went,"Yerrr Aiyerrrr Yerrr." According to her that's how Cindy always reacts. AHAHAHA :D

Okay drama aside now.
The 9 girls had their 2nd public appearance or showcase in Genting Highlands, did a fashion show to promote Malaysian Dreamgirl and their sponsors such as Bebe and Ted Baker, their official fashion label, and also Reebok.

Elimination took place like the last two weeks, just that this week, only 1 girl was to go home. Take a guess on who's in the bottom three.

It's Valerie, Eyna and Cindy.

Unfortunately, Valerie had the least votes and so she left the show. Sad huh. I think it would be better if Cindy left the show. But then again, it's a voting competition. What to do. Surprisingly Cindy didn't cry like the last elimination. Guess she took some of her dad's advice. Heh.

Sazzy mentioned that this week would be a clean slate, and the votes will start afresh!!
Lucky for those with less votes. =)

8 girls are left.

Who do you think has what it takes to beat the rest?

Who tops your favourite list and your not-so-favourite list?

Who will be the next to leave?

Who will be the next Malaysian Dreamgirl?

You decide!

Stay tuned and watch the episodes at malaysiandreamgirl.tv & remember to vote for your favourite girl!

Busy day. Drove around town :)
Went to school, got certs and papers certified.
Bought mini murtabaks on the way home. Yummy and triangle shaped! Hee.

Had meet up and yum cha session with the girls. Kumara a.k.a gummy bear came too!
Lasted for about 3hours plus, then had to head home cs it was getting late and just us girls (gummy bear left earlier).

Had a really nice time catching up and just ranting with each other. Not forgetting the gossips too! Hahaha. Lovely girls they are. A bit weird, but extremely funny people.

Now I'm checking my scholarship applications and all. BORING.

Waiting and waiting before I can go to sleep.

By the way, it was 27th just now. Like two and a half hours ago.
(= Don't know how I should be actually feeling.
Choose to be happy, choose to be happy.
Happy 27th to you, hewhoshallnotbenamed.

Bouncing Of The Ceiling

I won! I won a RM100 preloaded AmBank NexG Prepaid MasterCard!
WOOHOOOOOOOO yeah yeah yeah! :D
Was just checking out the Malaysian Dreamgirl webpage about noon. Never expected to be listed as one of the winners for the Blog Contest week 2. Really! When I saw my blog name listed I kept refreshing the page to see if it was a mistake or something. Haha.

I was so happy because it's sort of like my first time actually winning something from public contests like this! I practically jumped up and down the house with joy! =D
Yalah I know it's just a hundred ringgit you would say. But better than nothing ok! And to me it's more about me winning something, less on the money part. No no, that doesn't mean I don't want the money ok. Hahaha.

HappyHappyHappyHappyHappy :]]]]

It's a great start for today. Thanks Nuffnang! I don't know why my Nuffnang ads aren't working but you're great for letting me win RM100 just like that!

Mun Yee woke me while I was still sleeping dengan syioknya.
Spent the day with her at JJ. Lunched at Kenny Roger's. Their mac n' cheese didn't taste as good today. Like leftover or something. Hopefully it wasn't. Then caught a movie at 3.20pm.

I shall review the movie we watched, The Spiderwick Chronicles.

Synopsis from Yahoo!Movies :

From the beloved best-selling series of books comes "The Spiderwick Chronicles," a fantasy adventure for the child in all of us. Peculiar things start to happen the moment the Grace family (Jared, his twin brother Simon, sister Mallory and their mom) leave New York and move into the secluded old house owned by their great, great uncle Arthur Spiderwick. Unable to explain the strange disappearances and accidents that seem to be happening on a daily basis, the family blames Jared. When he, Simon and Mallory investigate what's really going on, they uncover the fantastic truth of the Spiderwick estate and of the creatures that inhabit it.

This movie is actually a movie for kids, means about 17 years and below? But there were many adults at the cinema watching today. Maybe they meant BIG kids. Haha. It's a Nickelodeon movie by the way. I didn't thought that this show was really interesting when I saw the trailer or the poster board. It's better than what I expected though. So yeah, didn't waste my money on some show I thought would be like Narnia or something.

In this movie, there are characters with magical powers, non human characters of course, are called faeries. Here are the lists of them:

Mulgarath – An evil, shape-shifting ogre who wants to take over the world.

These are the goblins that work for Mulgarath. The captain in the blue coat and pirate hat is called RedCap. Mean looking toads they are.

Hogsqueal (which pretty much look like some sort of a pig except it has for nostrils) – One of Mulgarath's goblins who is actually a hongoblin; he is an anti-hero. Hogsqueal uses children's teeth as his own, claiming that he is the ToothFaerie. Hobgoblin spit can give you the sight.

Thimbletack - The Spiderwick Estate's brownie. These creatures resemble small men about the size of a pencil. They help with household chores and only wish to be paid with scraps of food left out. If a Brownie is angered it will turn into a Boggart. Boggarts are grotesque and throw things and trip people. They torture families that live in the home. Boggarts are impossible to get rid of.

Brownies are really adorable! But not when they're angry cause they will change into some mean green thing like the above. They super love honey and it returns them to their normal physic. Super cute can!

And to kill the goblins, they use salt, and also some weird potion which consists of tomatoe ketchup and vinegar. Just throw or spray it at them and the goblins melt immediately. Haha. DIE GOBLINS DIE.

I was hoping to see lots of pretty fairies in the show but there were only a few scenes with flower fairies(I forgot know what they call them). Not really fairytale-ish as I thought it would be. =(

This movie is rated PG though. Many scenes with creature action and violence, peril and some thematic elements. Not to say it's a scary show, but kinda. You get what I mean la ya.

I would give it a thumbs up for people who like fiction and fantasy-based stories.
And also a 7 out of 10 rating.

25 March 2008

It's raining and I'm thinking.

I just came across this question while using Xanga:

"If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem." True or false?

And I began to think, true or false?

If you're not part of the solution, then you're part of the problem? Is there such thing?
Does it mean that being not able to help solve the problem makes you part of the problem too?

I think I have to disagree with the statement above.
You might not be part of the solution, but it doesn't make you part of the problem because you can't find a solution. Right?
Unless you are the problem and you can't come up with a solution which makes you the problem of why the problem can't be solved and you being not part of the solution.

And one also cannot say that" You are part of the problem because you're not part of the solution" because it might not even be your problem in the first place. It can be that the current problem you're facing isn't caused by you but by your surroundings like the environment, people, objects, circumstances, etc and assume that coming up with a solution isn't an easy as ABC task. I certainly don't think it makes you part of the problem. Maybe you might not have the certain ability and skills to overcome the problem. So you can't blame and say,"Oh YOU are part of the problem."

Okay I think I'm making myself a little pening now. Haha. But yeah that's what my mind speaks. I might not be that good at expressing myself in words and writings but am trying to buck up.

What are your opinions on it? Do share. Would love to hear them. =)

23 March 2008

And So We Bleed.

Emo-ing sial right now.

It's not that I want to think of you, when it's not same the other way round.

You never cease to make me think about you. Day and night, come rain or shine.

During good times or sad times. Or angry times or mardy times.

You never left my mind, and you will never leave it.

It is so wonderful yet so scary at the same time.

I am afraid.

I know you will leave.

I don't know what will it be like after you do.

I try to imagine,

and I cannot bear it.

Yes, I am emotional.

Yes, I think too much.

Yes, I am sensitive.

and Yes, I am very vulnerable.

Yes, I've done so many mistakes.

Yes, I love you.

Did I hear you right?
Cause I thought you said
Let's think it over
You have been my life
And I never planned
Growing old without you

Shadows bleeding through the light
Where the love once shined so bright
Came without a reason
Don't let go on us tonight
Love's not always black and white
Haven't I always loved you?

But when I need you
You're almost here
And I know that's not enough
And when I'm with you
I'm close to tears
'cause your only almost here

I would change the world
If I had a chance
Oh won't you let me
Treat me like a child
Throw your arms around me
Oh please protect me

Bruise and battered by your words
Days are shattered, how it hurts

Oh, haven't I always loved you?

But when I need you
You're almost here
And I know that's not enough
And when I'm with you
I'm close to tears
'cause your only almost here

Bruise and battered by your words
Days are shattered, now it hurts

Haven't I always loved you?

But when I need you
You're almost here

Well I never knew how far behind I'd left you

And when I hold you
You're almost here

Well I'm sorry that I took our love for granted

And now I'm with you
I'm close to tears

Cause I know I'm almost here

Only almost here

Life is playing games with me.

The Dreamgirl

Natasha and Alison are out!

You may have no idea to what I am talking about. It's the Malaysian Dreamgirl online reality show.

After 2 weeks of living together, Natasha and Alison were eliminated as the voters had voted for their favourite contestants. Jean left the show before the elimination. Read about it here

So now there are 9 girls left in the running to becoming the next Malaysian Dreamgirl. I think it's pretty unfair to the other girls as one of the contestants have a wide fan base on the internet, or should I say readers to her popular blog which gives her the extra vote which when she might not be as deserving as the other girls? I'm sure you know who I'm talking about. Don't throw rocks at me yeah Cheeserland fans, it's just an opinion of mine. I do think that Ringo is pretty though. =)

My current favourite :

Fiqa, whom I sat beside during first open audition. She's a girl of mixed parentage, Malay and Chinese. Love her looks and the way she speaks. So angmoh-ish. Very pretty girl indeed. Her makeover is so cool. The hair rocks!! Go Fiqa! You have my support! =D

(picture taken from cheeserland.com)
Valerie, the spunky one is also another of my favourite. She's different from the rest. Her eyes are gorgeous and her smile is just so lovely. Funkedalic babe!

Other than that, the other girls don't really impress me except maybe for Jay and Enya.

And it seems that some girls aren't very happy about other girls. No names were mentioned but Alison said this,"Those girls have been very selfish, putting up little shows in front of the camera where we actually have to live with them, and it's been very very tough to ignore everything."

Jay mentioned,"Some people in this house, when you hear things coming from their mouth, in front of you they're really nice but behind your back they say things even though you felt you've never done anything wrong in fact you been doing everything right."

Wow. Seems like there are things happening in the house. Maybe they just don't show it on camera or publish it out to the audience. No fun lahh. They should show more of what's really happening in the house! Then more people would be interested to watch the show. Hahaha.

Still quite unwell. Tak tahan with all the vomiting and all, so went to see the doctor yesterday. And I had like, 5 packets of medicine to finish up! I super hate medicine. Urgh. Getting better bit by bit though. Been drinking loads of 100Plus and eating very little.

Anyway today I drove to JJ! Without my parents some more! WAHAHAHA :D

Nearly knocked into a car :O Not like was gonna knock from the back or what laa, but my car was so close to another car side to side. Scary wei! Bro and sis freaked out. Sorry guys! First timer ma. Haha.

Went to JJ cs felt like I had to get out of the house after so many days of becoming a 'peng mao' (it means sick cat in Cantonese) already. And some lady stole my parking lot! Argh damn geram you know! Now I truly know how drivers feel when people just drive in when you've been waiting there for some time already. Dumb lady.

Anyway, I did lots of window shopping. It's not like there's much to window shop in JJ anyway, right? But there were quite alot of people there today. Don't know why. Like they don't have to work or something. Sis bought stuff from MPH then we went to supermarket and bought foooooooood! MY FAVOURITE WORD! Hahahaha. Then walked around awhile more then decided to head home.

I cooked this lamb chop! Geng leh? XD
Nah actually I bought this marinated lamb from JJ's supermarket but I still cooked it at home! Pretty cheap I must say. About RM1.58 for 100g. Cheap right? And I was so starving so yeahh. Sis bought sushi rolls which were yummy as well for a buck each.

That's pretty much about my day. Waiting to go out with mom now.

18 March 2008

Birthday was nice!
A little surprise from church mates and a cake baked by Clarence himself :D Not bad for a first timer! I am touched a little that he would actually BAKE me something, which is SO NOT him. No pictures though because it's all in Amelia's camera.

Been pretty busy with university applications and scholarship applications as well. So ma farn lah. Have to fill in forms and photocopy certs and write essays. Have not really decided on the courses that I want to pursue also.

And yesterday, I was vomiting and poo-ing so many times. So sanfu can! =( And my whole body was super weak that I couldn't really move. Even lying in bed was tiring. Clare said it might be indigestion, or must be the watermelon I drank at lunch.

I hate being sickly. It just sucks.

Malaysian Dreamgirl

It is the first reality model search in Malaysia that is being broadcast on the internet.

I did attend the auditions at PWTC in Selangor Room on the 16th of February last month. Unfortunately I did not manage to get through.
As said by the judges, it was my confidence and my birth mark = my mole on my face. Because clients are extremely particular when they choose models, bla bla bla.

Although I didn't get through, as one of first 200 to attend the audition, I got a free goodie bag! Better than nothing. =D

It consisted of :
NewMan's Magazine,
treatment shampoo and conditioner,
MasterCard flyer,
Sebastian Professional
2008 calender
and a tube with the writing 'Malaysian Dreamgirl'.

Not bad huh!

The judges were none other than the model Elaine Daly, local celebrity blogger Kenny Sia and Lim Jimmy, a professional stylist.

The hostess of the show is Sazzy Falak.

Episodes 1 and 2 of the open and closed auditions can be watched at www.malaysiandreamgirl.tv

And so, 12 lucky girls have been chosen by the judges themselves to experience living as a model in a house together. Wonder if there's gonna be any drama or cat fight?

Here are some of the finalist that impress me :

Alison, who just returned after completing her studies in the U.K.

Nadia whom I think has a very sexy vixen and fierce look. *RAWRRRR*

Valerie from Sabah, who says she is a true kampung girl and will always be one.

And Ringo. Or better known as Cheesie and her blog, cheeserland.com.

So what do you think?

You can check out the other finalist at malaysiandreamgirl.tv and the finalist's profile video.
Jay's profile video rocks! Love the part she raps to tell the girls out there why they should watch out for her. She's coooool.

These girls are all up to win the grand prize which is :
- a Nissan Latio 1.8Ti (A)
- a RM10,000 preloaded AmBank NexG PrePaid MasterCard
- a RM3,000 Wella Professionals hamper
- RM1,000 of Escada fragrances
- RM1,000 of Bebe apparel
- RM500 of Nose footwear
- an exclusive cover spread in NewMan magazine and an experience of a lifetime.

I'm actually hooked on this reality series and looking forward to their episodes every Thursday and Saturday. Can't wait to watch the given tasks and eliminations!

Oh one more thing, you can vote for your favourite contestant in order to keep her in the running to becoming the next Malaysian Dreamgirl!

Double Triple Happiness

This week is gonna be such a longgggg week.

On Monday, sat for my driving test.

And I passed! Bwahahaha. Yea yea I know laa I'm 19 already.

I can drive at last! Weeeeee. =D
I had to drive in the heavy pouring rain okay. Plus many people failed on that day.
The tester kept driving people back to the driving institution. Made me kinda nervous because I was one of the last to be tested.

And then yesterday, 11 of March 2008. STPM RESULTS OUT.

Tension giler.

And I'm pretty satisfied with my results. =))))))
I thought I was going to fail a certain subject, but I thank God that I more than passed everything.

Double joy in a week. Happinessness!

Congratulations to Clarence Choong Weng Ki! 4 FLATS in STPM!
*xoxo x 987497865387634275987342 times*
I am very, very proud of you. You're superb.

06 March 2008

I just google-ed STPM 2007 results, and it's coming out on Tuesday, 11 March 2008.
Which is like, 5 days away only !!!
I feel pretty nervous already, even right now.

I pray that I would get fair results that would enable me to get into public university, more specifically USM (Universiti Sains Malaysia).

I hope I won't disappoint my parents. Most of all, I hope I won't disappoint myself.

I'll be sitting for my practical driving test on monday some more. Better not think too much if not cannot drive properly then habis lah.
How la man???
